How Beacon Tax Relief works
Five steps. No retainer. No "tax attorney" pretending to be one.
- 1
Create your account & complete the profile
We collect the same financial information the IRS uses to evaluate any resolution: filing status, household, income, expenses, assets, liabilities. You enter it once. We re-use it across every form.
Note: We collect IRS Allowable Living Expense data so 433-F and 433-A(OIC) generate correctly per IRM 5.15.
- 2
Decode your IRS notice
Upload a PDF or photo of your IRS letter. The decoder identifies the notice type, quotes the deadline, summarizes what the IRS wants in plain English, and recommends the right next form.
Note: Free for everyone — Compass tier and up gives you saved decode history.
- 3
Pick your resolution path
Based on your numbers, the software shows whether Installment Agreement, Currently Not Collectible, Penalty Abatement, or Offer in Compromise is the most realistic path — and explains the tradeoffs.
Note: We show you the IRS's own RCP (Reasonable Collection Potential) and CSED (Collection Statute Expiration Date) calculations so you understand the math.
- 4
Generate the right forms
We pre-fill IRS forms (9465, 433-F, 843, 656, etc.) from your profile. You download as PDF, review every line, sign, and mail or upload to IRS.
Note: We never sign or submit forms for you. You stay in control of every filing.
- 5
Track deadlines, follow up
Email and SMS reminders before every IRS deadline. If the IRS sends a follow-up notice, decode it and continue the workflow.
Note: Pro and Business tiers include CDP hearing deadlines and Tax Court 90-day clock tracking.
